find Charlie's killer

POLICE officers in Northwich have launched a fresh appeal to catch the killer of Charlie Jones - four years after he was brutally murdered.

Charlie, 42, of Parkfield Road, was walking home alone after a night out with friends when he was attacked on January 25, 1998.

He was taken to Leighton Hospital but died three weeks later on February 15 from a blood clot on the brain caused by the attack.

But despite the offer of a £30,000 reward, the identity of Charlie's killer still remains a mystery.

Police are now hoping that as the anniversary of Charlie's death approaches, someone will come forward with new information.

Anyone who may be able to help police is asked to ring Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.
