CREWE'S very own answer to Kylie Minogue is set to hit the high notes in 2002.

Local singing sensation Sarah Jane Irlam, 26, could be so lucky with offers flooding in since appearing as the Aussie pop princess at last year's Stars In Your Eyes Grand Final.

"It's been mad since the Final," enthused Sarah, pictured.

"I'm really looking forward to this year and hopefully I'm going to move on to bigger and better things."

Now with an established professional management team behind her, the voice from Monks Lane is keeping her fingers crossed these offers become reality over the next few months.

"London Weekend Television has asked me to perform at the awards ceremony for Stars In Your Doubles which 'Del Boy' won last year.

"It might not come off and you have to go through auditions but Kylie's big at the moment and I hope it does.

"Channel Four have asked me to perform at a concert at Sandown Racecourse and I've had an offer to appear in a music video for the band Pulp."

Despite the interest though, Sarah isn't about to forget the local scene.

"We've got a Kylie tribute show which will be local in March and another appearance at the Lyceum along with a fund-raising variety show at the Crosville in April.

"I've had a lot of support locally and everybody in Crewe has been great."
