CONGLETON 1st XV went down 13-0 at league leaders Orrell on Saturday.
They were in confident mood after last week's 20-20 league draw against Eagle.
Orrell took an early lead with a penalty, and went further ahead with a converted try eight minutes before the interval.
Congleton failed to exploit attacking opportunities, and Orrell kicked a penalty in front of the posts with 10 minutes left.
Congleton will be travelling to Marple tomorrow.
