CHARITY leaders are appealing for your unwanted foreign coins.
From January 1 many European currencies became defunct and are being withdrawn from circulation following the introduction of the Euro.
Age Concern has used this change to launch its Fight the Freeze appeal.
The initiative encourages people to donate unwanted or unusable foreign currency to help fund support for pensioners facing cold and isolation during the winter.
Donations can be taken to the Age Concern offices in Congleton and Biddulph.
