AS A London businessman visiting Warrington I was sickened by the conditions of the public house conveniences in this town.

They are filthy and degrading.

The problems are as such: no toilet seats, no paper, broken light fittings, dirty and worn out carpets, there was a lot of vomit on the floors, and broken bottles and glasses.

If this town wishes to become a city it must first clean up its act or be the city of shame.
