LATCHFORD:
FORGET postcards and letters, globetrotting priest Father Stephen Dwyer is keeping his parishioners on track with his latest adventures in Kenya via the parish website.
Before leaving Warrington to help out an old friend at his parish in Kenya, Father Dwyer, of Our Lady's Church, St Mary's Street, Latchford, contacted the Guardian to set up a website chronicling the history of the church and parish events.
Now through CommuniGate, Father Dwyer has been keeping in touch with friends back home letting them know what he's doing in Kenya.
He has been sending messages from an Internet caf in Kisumu, in Kenya. From the caf he can view the parish website and even amend it as well as post messages to individuals.
In his latest message, Father Dwyer writes: "It makes very interesting news that I can contact the Warrington Guardian from Kenya. I have arrived after a very good flight. It is wonderful to be here again on the Mission station. Father Tony is well and sends greetings to everyone back in Warrington and especially the members of Our Lady's Church."
