I AM writing in response to last week's article entitled "Get tough on dog fouling."
As a responsible dog owner and citizen I would no more leave dog faeces on a pavement or grass verge than drop litter.
However it would be interesting to discover exactly how many dog waste bins there are in Congleton, in relation to the amount of pet dogs.
I can only recall two in my area, one on Henshall Hall Drive, to be reached by walking across a muddy grassed area, and another near the school off Boundary Lane.
Perhaps if the local council provided more dog waste bins it would prevent dog owners from having to carry dog poo around for up to half an hour.
If facilities are provided I am sure dog owners would make use of them.
