EARLESTOWN Snooker League's joint leaders Beer Engine and Cross Labour let their high standards slip this week.

Beer Engine succumbed to Top Break 4-2 while Stubshaw only managed to draw with a determined Haydock Reading Room A oufit.

The draw puts Stubshaw one point clear at the top of the table.

Newton Social A overcame Newton Social B 5-1.

The A team's Tony Kelly made an outstanding 47 break in his win against Mal Milanovitch. The only B team winner was Dave Moran, who was too good for John Moorhouse.

Golborne Catholic defeated Bryn Labour 4-2.

Viaduct enjoyed a 5-1 win against Vulcan.

Tucker Burke was the only Viaduct loser, going down to Mick Martin.

Rileys got back to winning ways with a 4-2 success over Haydock Catholic B.

Carlton Lawrenson recorded another impressive win for Rileys.

Garswood Labour had to settle for a share of the spoils against Haydock Reading Room B, who are languishing at the bottom of the table.

Brian Arnold won the final game for Haydock against Tom Davenport.

North Ashton VC came away with a draw from their visit to Haydock Catholic.

The highest break of the season so far is a 57 by Mark Thomas of Haydock Catholic A.

Lee Briscoe of Beer Engine has recorded the most wins. He has been victorious in 14 of his 15 games.
