Mrs Jaqueline (Jackie) Diane Jenkins (nee Charlton), wife of Mr Richard Jenkins, died of bronchopneumonia on December 20. She was 38.

Mrs Jenkins, of Saffron Close, Padgate, was born in Warrington and lived in Latchford for 24 years and Padgate for 14 years.

She attended St James' School, Latchford, Chestnut Lodge, Widnes, and North Cheshire College. Prior to her marriage in 1994 she helped out at Warrington Toy Library and Longbarn Primary School.

Mrs Jenkins for a time served on the Committee for Warrington Spina Bifida Association, and her hobbies included horse riding, reading, listening to music and dining out.

She enjoyed travelling, both in England and abroad, visiting many countries. She went to America three times and last travelled there in May, when she swam with dolphins.

Mrs Jenkins was devoted to and treasured by her family, and leaves her husband, a six-year-old son, and her mother and father.

A service was held on December 31 at Christ Church, Padgate, followed by interment in the churchyard. The Rev Stephen Williams officiated.

All donations were sent to the Spina Bifida Association and Warrington Intensive Care Unit.
