WARRINGTON Wolves go into the Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Challenge Cup fourth round draw on Monday.
Performance director Steve Anderson says he would rather the club land a tough draw, than an easy one.
He said: "The harder the better as far as I'm concerned because it is all in preparation for the season."
Last season Wolves gently eased into the competition with a home tie against Warrington amateurs Woolston Rovers.
Anderson said: "There is an argument for the more games you play the better but I would prefer hard games every week in terms of preparation for the season."
The draw takes place later than in past seasons and will be made from The George Hotel in Huddersfield from 7.30pm and will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 LIVE.
