CHILDREN in Cinnamon Brow sampled a slice of Tudor life during a special history lesson.

Pupils at Cinnamon Brow CE Primary School studied period costumes loaned to them by Warrington Museum.

The Year Four youngsters, taught by Joanne Hewson, learned about the different parts of the outfits, including head dresses and collars, and drew pictures of what they had seen.

And Eve Groake and Rhiannon Massey, both aged eight, donned the outfits to complete the Tudor experience.

Eve said: "I enjoyed it. I got to see how heavy the clothes were, how big they were, what kind of designs they had, and what it was like to be a rich person then."

Katrina Cody, student teacher, added: "They really enjoyed themselves, and saw the weight and extravagance of the clothes.

"They got a real insight into the traditional clothing of that time."
