THE owner of a meat stall in Warrington Market is trying to clear up confusion over a shop near Bolton that is in the middle of a salmonella outcry.
Geoff Poole, owner of the Bacon Joint, which has been operating in the market for more than 18 years, is worried customers might think his stall is connected to a shop of the same name in Farnworth, which is under fire following 43 confirmed cases of salmonella.
He said: "We are getting digs off people because we've got the same name - but there is absolutely no connection between our stall and this shop in Bolton. This is the only firm with this name that we have."
