TOP wedding photographer Andrea Dale has won a major award for a charming picture of a little pageboy.

Andrea's photograph won the classical wedding category in the Master Photographer of the Year Awards.

She received a statuette named Oskar after Oskar Barnack, the inventor or the Leica camera.

Andrea also received one of a number of runners-up awards for her photograph of Congleton couple Stephen and Lynn Moors.

The photograph shows them relaxing in the honeymoon suite at The Midland Hotel in Manchester following their wedding in 2000.

Andrea, who specialises in wedding photography, has won 150 awards, but regards the Master Photographer accolade as her greatest honour because of its status.

Her photograph of the pageboy beat off competition from more than 1,200 entries from around the country.

"I did not expect to win because there were some very good photographers," said Andrea.
