MACMILLAN nurses are to be given a grrr-eat cash boost thanks to the generosity of Warrington Wolves.

The club is supporting the town's branch of the charity with a host of events such as player appearances, autographed merchandise and bucket collections at home games.

The Wolves already have close links with the charity and last year players and staff took part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of the worthy cause.

The Macmillan nurses will be holding a bucket collection on Monday, April 1, prior to the first home Super League local derby against Widnes Vikings.

Adam Jude, Wolves' community and marketing director, said: "As part of our community scheme we are actively involved in the Warrington area supporting local initiatives.

"The Warrington branch of Macmillan nurses is just one of the local charities that we have helped."
