WARRINGTON-based charity MacIntyre Care has been boosted thanks to a team of runners completing this year's London Marathon.
The organisation, which has branches across England and Wales, provides services to adults and children with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, challenging behaviour and communication difficulties.
The services include schooling and care for children, and helping to arrange accommodation and employment for adults.
A team of six ran the 26.2 miles around the capital for the charity, and one of the entrants, Oliver Del Mar, completed the event in just over four-and-a-quarter hours.
Kate Thomas, from MacIntyre, said: "A huge well done and thank you to him and the rest of the team, everyone at MacIntyre is truly grateful."
Oliver said: "I wanted to run for MacIntyre because I know that every penny means a lot to them."
