Final preparations were being made this week for Knutsford's annual St George's Day parade.
More than 200 Scouts and Guides will march through town on Sunday. This year's celebrations will also mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
"They have been rehearsing for it for about three months now and everything seems to be in place," said district commissioner Dave Metcalfe.
"But they don't actually all gather together before the big day. They just practise in their own little groups beforehand."
The parade, which this year will highlight the skills acquired as a Scout or Guide, leaves Marshall's Yard at 2.30pm - after a routine inspection.
The procession, which includes the Alderley Edge Scout Band, will parade along King Street and Princess Street, arriving at St John's Parish Church for a 3pm service.
Knutsford and district Scouts saw a 2.2% increase in their numbers last year and are hoping that this year's parade will help to boost numbers even more.
They are the only district in Cheshire to have seen an increase over the past 12 months. Other groups have seen numbers fall by more than 8%.
