RAVEN B edged a classic confrontation to end the dreams of giantkillers Nags Head A and win the Winter Team Knockout final.
A hat-trick of Premier scalps gave the Second Division Nags a chance of silverware and Alf Roberts got them off to a great start, winning the opening darts game in 24 darts.
But First Division Raven B responded with captain Roy Heath and Warren Hollands winning the next two darts games plus a dominoes success for Carl Mitchell equalled an early 3-1 advantage.
Graham Taylor and Mick Stanley levelled things in the individual disciplines before two darts wins from Allan Dawson, including a 180, and Gary Smailes put Raven 5-3 up.
Again the Nags hit back through Robert Coyner in the doms and Alf Roberts and Allan Bostock in the arrows pairs before they took the lead..
Brendan Conlon and captain David Taylor secured wins in the table game to put the underdogs within one of a perfect ending
However Raven weren't through, Allan Dawson won his singles game and then a pairs with Helen Hardy to once again level proceedings with everything down to the final doms game.
Robert Shepard and Gary Smailes capped the comeback to end the Nags' fairytale.
