ANOTHER hat-trick from John Griffiths secured Crewe FC an excellent 4-2 victory at Broadheath Central, last Saturday.

The veteran hit-man just can't stop scoring, with the latest treble taking his tally to an amazing 35 goals, this season.

A frantic start saw Sutcliffe hit the post before a Mark Blackburn back-pass was intercepted and put away by the home side on 3 minutes.

Both sides had chances but it was Broadheath who went further in front as a pin-point corner was steered past keeper Harding on 25 minutes.

Mike Hilditch picked out Griffiths to bag his first just before the interval, which Crewe emerged from firing on all cylinders.

It was Hilditch again who engineered further goals for the machine, finding the perfect cross for Griffiths to head home at the back post on 51 minutes and releasing the top scorer to round the keeper and claim his hat-trick on 70 minutes.

The provider turned goalscorer within 120 seconds as his 25-yard screamer flew into the top corner, securing a fine three points and currently the best away record in the division.

"The lads are really doing themselves proud," beamed Crewe FC boss Ian O'Reilly.

"To have the best away record in the division deserves a real pat on the back. We have improved and we want to have a good go at challenging at the top, next season."

Crewe FC finish the season at Poynton, this Saturday.
