DOZENS of budding employees left the confines of Malbank school this week as part of their work experience projects.

However, as well as the usual throngs of year ten children venturing out for their week in the workplace, Malbank school also sent out schoolgirls from its year eight.

The scheme, entitled 'Bring Your Daughter To Work', is part of a national project aimed at bringing the world of work to younger schoolgirls.

Forty-five of the year eight pupils are due to take part in this scheme, which encourages mums and dads to take their daughters into the workplace.

The school has also launched an active learning careers package called the Real Game into Year Eight.

Assistant Head at Malbank, Jill Kitchen, said: "Malbank is particularly proud of its career education after receiving the Investor in Careers kite-mark for the quality of its careers guidance."

The year ten and eight pupils were spread across the borough this week trying their hand at everything from nursing to journalism in places like the Lyceum Theatre, Bentley and Nantwich Museum.

Three of the year eight pupils are pictured getting ready to enter the big bad world.
