THE ultimate Pink Floyd experience is coming to Crewe in the name of charity.

The fund-raiser is in aid of Oxfam and consists of a four-hour long Pink Floyd celebration at The Limelight Club on Sunday, May 5.

In the concert will be live acoustic sets from two duos, Blood Simple and Eclipse.

This is combined with film, computer animation and rare material to provide what promoters call an 'Authentic Pink Floyd' experience.

Staffordshire man Mark Wordley has spent the last three years organising events for Oxfam and said: "It is set to be a fantastic night for a very good cause. Judging by the first concert in March at Rocester, there will be a lot of very happy Pink Floyd fans."

The highlight of the concert is usually the full rendition of the classic 1973 album Dark Side Of The Moon with live acoustic and recorded materials as well as laser lights, projections, animations and a violinist.

Mark has even commissioned special artwork for the events to add to the atmosphere.

Blood Simple is a duo from Derby and has a powerful style. They will be playing a specially arranged acoustic set accompanied by guitar and mandolin.

Eclipse is a female duo and will be playing Pink Floyd arrangements on violin and piano.

There is also the chance for fans to win the nine-CD box set worth £150.

Tickets for the gig are priced at £8.50 and can be bought from the Limelight (251929) or by phoning 01889 591406.
