GREEN fingered residents pitched for top spot in the West Bank in Bloom gardening competition.

The grand final was a hard fought affair but the gardener who was blooming the most was Milly Hewitt who scooped first prize.

The competition, part of the West Bank Jubilee celebrations, was judged by Tom Banks of Halton Council.
