I READ your article about the dangers of ragwort to grazing animals with interest.
There is still a lot of ragwort in the Farnworth area it has been there for some time.
Because it is quite nice looking, people don't take it out of their gardens.
It is tall, yellow star-shaped, with lots of little flowers
There is a livery stables on Lunts Heath Road and ragwort can cause severe damage to a horses liver.
There is also a brook through this estate and it runs all along the brook.
People don't know enough about it and I want to see our council do more about it.
Maybe they could clean it up in conjunction with the RSPCA and local volunteers who would only be too willing to help.
A resident of the Farnworth Area,
