A BINGO mad bride-to-be from Winsford celebrated her hen night in style on Saturday by inviting her best pals to her favourite bingo club.

Alison O'Mara is addicted to the popular game and plays at the Top Ten bingo club in Dingle Lane every Friday night.

She said: "I'm just mad about bingo, I love it and it's the best night out ever.

"I've been playing since I was a kid and I get withdrawal symptoms if I miss a week."

Alison, who lives in Wharton, brought 35 of her friends and took over the balcony area, where they were given the star treatment by staff.

The club provided Alison with free flowers, bubbly and wedding presents.

She said: "It was a great night, we had a really good time and the bingo club did us proud."

Alison added: "People generally think of bingo and associate it with grey hair and grannies, but they found out that you can have a good time and they'll certainly be going again."

David Ryder, the club manager, added: "This was the first hen party we've ever hosted and Alison had lots of guests with her. They really enjoyed themselves and most are going to become full time members."

Alison, 30, is due to marry her fianc Ray Waldecker, 37, on September 27 at Rookery Hall near Nantwich before honeymooning in Portugal.

She added: "I'm going to miss a whole week of bingo. I don't know if they play bingo there but I'll find a game if I can."

Ray isn't particularly keen on the game, but thankfully Alison has an ally in his mum, who first introduced her to the club.
