IF you want to be a winner at the Vale Royal Show next month the time has come to start preparing your entries.

Entrants should be finishing off any art or craftwork and searching the garden to pick out some potential prize winning fruit, vegetables and flowers.

There's something for all tastes and ages at the show, with plenty of classes in which people can show off their creations for everyone to see at Winsford Civic Hall.

That's not to mention special sections for children and schools to attract more youngsters to the event.

Interest

A show spokesperson said: "With such a varied programme I am sure everyone will find something of interest and that the range and quality of entries will be as high as ever."

There are plenty of trophies and prizes up for grabs and a particularly special prize is the Ethel Davies Trophy.

Yvonne Davies will present the trophy in memory of her mother and it will go to the best exhibit in the adult handicraft section, submitted by a registered blind or partially sighted exhibitor.

The show itself is in its 34th year and is held in association with the mid Cheshire branch of the British Cactus and Succulent Society.

It will take place on Saturday, September 21, between 2 and 5pm and admission will be 50p.

Clr Kath Watson, Mayor of Vale Royal, will present the prizes at the end of the show.

The event will also incorporate the Northwich and District Chrysanthemum Society Members' Show.

Pick up your exhibitor's schedules at the Civic Hall, Winsford, the Memorial Hall, Northwich and Information Centre, Northwich.
