KNUTSFORD rower Isabella Lindholt is celebrating success after she stormed to victory at an international event in Portugal.

Isabella, who lives in Goostrey, represented Great Britain in the double sculls at the Coupe de la Jeunessse and together with partner Hannah Wellings took gold ahead of crews from Italy, Holland and Belgium.

The win, in eight minutes and seven seconds, more than made up for the pair's disappointment on the previous day when they finished fourth in a shorter distance event behind Italy, Belgium and Spain.

Isabella's victory helped the British Girls Team take claim overall gold while the full British team (girls and boys) finished second behind the Italians.
