THE funeral took place recently of Kathleen Yoxall of Gleavewood, Weaverham, following her death on August 7, aged 92. The service was held at Sandiway Parish Church and was followed by cremation. The Rev Canon Twidell officiated.
Mrs Yoxall was born in Sydney Street, Greenbank and at the age of nine was one of the first girls to attend Sir John Deane's Grammar School. She began employment in the accounts department of ICI where she worked until she met and married her late husband John.
Her life centred around her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She could identify most plants by their Latin names.
Donations were received for Gleavewood Comfort Fund.
Arrangements were by George Lightfoot, Witton Mews.
