AFTER a successful touring production of Dumisani's Drum, Action Transport is back in Cheshire to perform a new play - Made in Cheshire.
In the production Rachel Jane Allen plays a young teenage drummer and together with her football crazy brother finds herself faced with an awful dilemma when their father is accused of committing a terrible crime.
The play will tour secondary schools across Cheshire, including Frodsham High and Verdin High, from September to November and will reach audiences of young people over 14 in youth clubs and other venues across the region.
Director Guy Christiansen was delighted when Rachel accepted the part and feels that, with a superb supporting cast, the play is a guaranteed success.
Once again Shell UK is supporting the autumn production and has been so impressed with the work of Action Transport that it jumped at the chance to be involved with Made in Cheshire.
Rachel Stretford, of Shell, said: "We are very impressed with the high standard of performance and writing and feel that all their productions reach young audiences in a positive and creative way."
