WOOLSTON and district's annual show gets underway this Sunday, and promises to be a fun day out for all the family.
The event is organised by the Warrington Borough Council Ranger Service in conjunction with the Friends of Woolston Park and the Woolston and District Horticultural Society with support from Woolston Parish Council.
Everyone is invited to enter the classes held in the traditional show marquee and perky pets can even take part in a competition of their own, a fun dog show sponsored by Pet Express.
Other entertainment includes a children's funfair, vintage tractors and lawnmowers, community stalls and refreshments.
Opportunities are also on hand to have a go at woodland crafts, take a trip on a Sally Shunter land train and watch a fascinating sheepdog demonstration, the Birchwood community band and the Earl of Stamford Morris Dancers.
And this year's show will be extra special since it marks the horticultural society's silver jubilee and the 25th anniversary of Woolston Park.
Admission and parking are free and the show runs from 1pm until 5pm.
