WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones is encouraging Warrington people to take part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The event, the charity's biggest annual fundraiser, will take place on Friday, September 27, and the money raised will be used to help people with cancer.
Macmillan hopes that even more people will join in than last year, when an enormous £3.2 million was raised by people holding coffee mornings in their homes, at work and at school.
Mrs Jones said: "So many people are affected by cancer, either personally or through family or friends, and have had experience of the wonderful care and support Macmillan offers, particularly through the Macmillan nurses.
"I hope as many people as possible in my constituency will join in, either by organising a coffee morning or by taking part in one."
To register to host a coffee morning, or to find out more, call the Macmillan hotline on 0845 602 1246, or Warrington Macmillan on 662792.
