DIGNITARIES from Warrington and the north west will be attending a service of remembrance for road crash victims on the anniversary of the death of Princess Diana later this month.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, Clr George Warburton and Olive Morris, Coroner for Cheshire, Nicholas Rheinberg, and representatives from Cheshire Police will join other public figures from the region at the Princess Diana Memorial, Queens Square, Liverpool, tomorrow, Friday.
At the event, held by RoadPeace NorthWest, a short ceremony will take place, during which a silence will be held in memory of Princess Diana and all road crash victims, and flowers will be laid.
The charity believes that these events bring comfort, help to console the bereaved, and are recognition of the appalling toll of road death generally ignored by society.
