despite dip in
school's exam results
NEWTON High School recorded a slight dip in the number of students scoring five or more A* to C grades, falling from 34 per cent last year to just over 25 per cent this year.
But outstanding students came up with the goods in the shape of Jack Tickle who managed to obtain five As, three Bs, and three Cs; Alison Gold who achieved four As, five Bs and one C; and Steve Gomez Aspron, scoring one A*, four As, five Bs and one C.
But star pupil was Alex Lyon who achieved top class success with seven A*s, three As and one B.
