ST Aelred's Catholic Technology College has reported an overall increase in the number of students achieving five subjects at grade C or above.
Ninety five per cent of pupils passed in five or more subjects and 99 per cent passed at least one subject, while the A* to C pass rate was once again above the national average.
Catherine Twiss, of Lowton, Kevin Smith, of Burtonwood, and Sarah Jane Fairhurst, from Newton, all obtained A* or A grades in nine subjects. Thirty eight pupils obtained at least C grade in 10 subjects, and outstanding performances were achieved in art and design where 98 per cent achieved at least a grade C.
The school is delighted with pupils' progress and puts the results down to the hard work of pupils and the commitment of staff.
