CREAMFIELDS was a fitting last stomping ground for dance giants Faithless as they proved to a packed Liverpool audience that they are still one of the best in the business.

Joining Underworld, Kosheen, DJ Sasha, Misteeq and others, the Bank Holiday party was arguably the best ever as revellers danced into the early hours at the old Liverpool airfield.

Faithless now leave Liverpool and head towards Dublin for the Irish equivalent of the Merseyside dance extravaganza on Sunday, representing their final hurrah before a well-earned rest.

Clubbers let their hair down last Monday despite the continuing speculation that Cream could be departing its home at the Nation, Liverpool, to combat recent dance trends that suggest popularity is leaning towards larger events and festivals, rather than city club nights.

Speaking last week, Sister Bliss, from

Faithless, said: "We've been on the road for 18 months and now it's time to go off and make another record! So, as these two Creamfields shows are our last for maybe two years, we intend to have a big party."

Meanwhile, Faithless have been nominated for the Best LIVE Act at the Muzik Magazine Dance Awards 2002 which take place in London, on October 15.
