of the pops!
WANNABE Will Youngs took to the stage last week for a musical summer school at Warrington Collegiate Institute.
Youngsters, aged between 14 and 18, took part in the three-day workshops in the hope of picking up key skills in vocal training or recording techniques.
The course was organised by professionals in the music industry with the vocal group providing advice on breathing techniques and using a microphone while the technical recording group helped with recording and mixing.
Retired principal, Hilary Tucker, said: "The issue of teenagers wanting to take part in performance activities during the long summer break was raised with me recently.
"Local youngsters were keen to take advantage of the recording and vocal training facilities as well as the expert tuition here at the Collegiate."
The talented pop stars also took part in a recording session last Friday afternoon and were offered the chance to take home a copy of the CD.
