WARRINGTON'S Darren Burns shook off the Wigan defeat bouncing back with the words: "I can't see why we can't win three or even all four of our remaining games of the season."

Former Brisbane Broncos back row forward Burns continued: "We played good for 60 to 65 minutes against Wigan.

"Paul Cullen wants us to play with some width and not many teams score 18 points against Wigan.

"If we can play like that against Halifax or Salford then we should be able to score 30 or 40 points against them.

"When I signed for the club the thought of us now being in a position of fighting against relegation had never entered my mind at all.

"I didn't think it would happen but it is happening and it is a case of all hands on deck.

"We've all got to push in the right direction but I can't see us being relegated if we play like we have in the past two matches.

"Against Widnes we didn't complete enough sets of six tackles but in the ones we did we played some good football.

"We played some good football in patches against a top Wigan side and if we continue that for the next month there's no way we'll be relegated."

One of the positives to come out of Cullen's wide game plan has been the form of Graham Appo, who made his full home debut against Wigan.

Burns said: "I played with Graham in Australia and I know what he's like on his feet - very elusive.

"The sort of stuff we saw against Wigan brought back memories from Australia when he was scoring three or four tries per game.

"He simply hasn't had the opportunity here. He got the ball in the clear a couple of times against Wigan and beat defenders.

"He is playing really well and that is a sign of us throwing the ball wide to the wingers. When you've got good wingers you have to use them."
