STAR pupil Jayne Grady proved to be streets ahead of her classmates at St Peter's Primary in Woolston when she won a coveted award.

Jayne was presented with the Ken Robertson Award, an accolade awarded annually to the year's most outstanding pupil. As well as not being absent from school for a single day during her seven years at St Peter's, she has also produced work of a high standard and took part in the town's healthy eating initiative.

As part of her prize she received a £20 New Look voucher, WH Smith vouchers and family tickets for The Beatles Story.
