WARRINGTON'S second string could only manage to draw with Bowdon in the cricket club's only game to escape the heavy rain this weekend.
Openers Steve Quick, 49 runs and Peter Deeks, 42, gave Warrington a great start.
After their departure, runs were harder to come by but nevertheless Warrington reached a respectable total of 165 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
Warrington's accurate bowling kept Bowdon well behind the required run rate but on a slow pitch, they were unable to make sufficient inroads into Bowdon's batting.
