WARRINGTON Town are set to lose top defender Mark Ashton for two months.
Although Ashton should be available for Town's FA Cup first qualifying round tie against County Durham side Esh Winning at Cantilever Park on Saturday, kick-off 3pm, he will then not be available until November due to work commitments.
Town manager Alan Blair said: "We missed Ashy on Tuesday and after this weekend we will not have him until November because he got into the Fire Brigade last week.
"After his final medical for them he will not be able to play for us again until he has gone through the processes with the Fire Brigade.
"It is something that Mark has been wanting for a long time."
Town play away to Skelmersdale on Tuesday.
