A NEW centre which will provide a high quality education facility is being developed at Rixton Clay Pits nature reserve,Warrington.
Following a grant from Biffaward, a multi-million pound environment fund which uses landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services.
The project has received a total of £250,000, 90 per cent of which has come from Biffa and the remaining 10 per cent from Warrington Borough Council.
The centre will include facilities for community groups and schools.
The reserve is a former clay works with a complex range of nationally important habitats which are of European importance for nature conservation.
It is managed by Warrington Borough Council's ranger service.
