The wedding took place at St Oswald's Church, Winwick, of Mr Neil Blood, only son of Mrs P Blood, of Chadderton, Oldham, and the late Mr. G. Blood, and Miss Helen Kolita, only daughter of Mr and Mrs. R. Blood, of Linkside Avenue, Winwick. The Rev. R. G. Lewis officiated.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore an antique cream long satin dress, designed by Maggie Sottero, and her long two-tier veil was secured by a crystal and gold tiara. She carried a bouquet of red and cream roses, Singapore orchids and freesias.

Best man was Mr Michael Barber, and ushers were Mr I. R. Kolita, bride's brother and Mr W. Garland, bridegroom's cousin.

Matron of honour was D. Lawrence, and bridesmaid was 30-month-old Kate Kolita, bride's niece.

The bride is a pension administrator at HSBC bank, Warrington, and the bridegroom is a systems analyst at Nova Chemicals.

A reception was held at the Mere Court Hotel, High Legh. The couple spent their honeymoon in the Scottish highlands.
