The wedding took place at All Saints Church, Daresbury, of Mr John Eagle, of Dorchester Park, Sandymoor, Runcorn, only son of the late Vera and Fred Eagle, and Miss Joanne Poyser, only daughter of Neville and Dorothy Poyser, of Bayswater Close, Sandymoor, Runcorn. The Rev. Peter Povey officiated.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, and wore a cream bodice with lace detail at the back and full cream skirt, both embroidered with gold flower detail, and a train edged with pearls and diamantes, and her three tiered veil was secured by a pearl and diamante tiara. She carried a bouquet of terracotta calla lilies, freesias and cream Singapore orchids, and her jewellery consisted of a diamond drop necklace with gold chain, and pearl drop earrings.

Best man was Keith Bunday, and ushers were Vince Parry, and Simon Poyser, bride's brother.

Bridesmaids were 12-year-old Lauren, eight-year-old Ellie, and three-year-old Kate Poyser, bride's nieces. Pageboys were six-year-old William and four-year-old Gregory Poyser, bride's nephews.

The bride is a deputy officer in charge at Stretton Private Day Nursery, and the bridegroom is a service technician, and they originally met and lived in Canada for 12 years.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Portugal.
