Mr Kenneth (Ken) Griffiths, husband of Mrs Jean Griffiths, died on July 13, aged 72.
Mr Griffiths, of Chester Road, Grappenhall, was born in South Wales and lived in Grappenhall for 46 years. He was employed as a computer field engineer at ICL for 32 years before retirement, after which he worked part-time for the probation service as a community service supervisor.
Mr Griffiths was a member of Grappenhall and Thelwall Ex-Servicemen's Club, where he enjoyed socialising with his many friends and played bowls for the pensioners' B team.
Mr Griffiths was a devoted grandfather who liked to spend time watching all his grandchildren participate in their various sporting activities, and he leaves his wife, son and three grandchildren.
A service was held on July 19 at St Wilfrid's Church, followed by cremation at Walton Lea. The Rev Malcolm Kelly officiated.
Arrangements were made by A Maddock & Son, of Stockton Heath and Lovely Lane.
