Mrs Frances Louisa White, wife of the late Mr Eric White, died on July 25, aged 81.
Mrs White, of Jah-Jireh Nursing Home, Wigan, formerly of Foxfield Close, Houghton Green, was born in Warrington and she had lived in the Orford locality for 44 years.
She was last employed for many years as a home help at Cheshire County Council.
Mrs White was a Jehovah's Witness for 46 years and liked to talk to others about her faith.
She was devoted to, and cherished by, her family and was happiest in their company.
Mrs White leaves two daughters, five grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
A service was held on July 31 at Walton Lea, followed by cremation. Mr David Smith (Mrs White's son-in-law) officiated.
Arrangements were made by J McGuire, of Gidlow Lane, Wigan.
