Mrs Joanne Pinder (nee Sparrow), wife of Mr Glenn Pinder, died of breast cancer on July 22. She was 35.

Mrs Pinder of Hood Lane North, Great Sankey, was a lifelong resident of Warrington, who had lived in the Bewsey, Dallam and Orford areas, and had been a resident of Sankey for the last four years.

She was employed as a retail supervisor at Wilkinsons for four years, previously working at Lepps Jewellers, Hancock & Wood, and Toys R Us.

Mrs Pinder attended Bewsey Junior and Beamont High Schools, achieving good grades and representing the school in many sports.

She had many hobbies, including reading, gardening and badminton, at which she represented Cheshire at county level, as well as being a keen gymnast and a local coach.

Mrs Pinder led an active life, enjoying socialising with her family and many friends, eating out, and foreign holidays. She was passionate about the game of football, and as a dedicated mother, spent lots of time undertaking many activities with her son.

Mrs Pinder was a bubbly and warm person, who was known for her bright outlook on life.

She was devoted to, and treasured by, her family and leaves her husband, son, mother, father, sister and three brothers.

A service was held on July 30 at St James' Church, followed by cremation at Walton Lea. The Rev Mark Chilcott officiated.

All donations were sent to St Rocco's Hospice.

Arrangements were made by Co-operative Funeral Services, of Bewsey Lane.
