A PLAY scheme in Winsford has been given a cash boost by police in Cheshire.
Cheshire Police Authority has announced it is supporting a free play scheme in the area through its Community Safety Partnership Fund.
It is one of a variety of cheques totalling £17,000 that the authority is handing out in its bid to support community projects in the county.
The play scheme in Winsford was co-ordinated for children aged between five and 12 over the summer holiday period.
A presentation ceremony was held on Friday, August 30, where each group was handed their grant by Peter Walker, vice chairman of the authority.
