TRITON are still searching for their first point of the season after a second successive defeat, 3-0 at home to City of Manchester.
They were caught napping and were one down within the first 5 minutes through a penalty corner and then it got worse as the visitors punished an error to make it 2-0.
With a mountain to climb, Triton were inspired and dominated the rest of the half.
Chances went begging though and they were denied what looked a blatant penalty when Pete Duffy was pushed in the back when through on goal.
It was the same old story in the second but Triton couldn't make pressure pay and the visitors bagged a late third on the break.
A trip to Knutsford awaits, tomorrow.
Triton 2nds went down 7-2 at Chester.
Goals from Steve Wade and Simon Hulson had them level at half-time but it was one-way after that. Manchester Trinity visit tomorrow.
Jane Parker scored Triton Ladies goal in a 4-1 defeat away at Stafford.
