BIDDULPH Victoria suffered a backlash at resurgent Barwell who romped home to a 4-1 victory, last Saturday.

Despite the home side's lowly league position, they hold an unbeaten home record and Terry Greer's men found out why in convincing fashion.

Barwell should have taken early advantage on 5 minutes when Lucas beat Davenport to the ball and rifled it just wide of the target.

They did however on 14 minutes through a corner played to the near post and headed back across for Lucas to force the ball into the net.

Vics did prove resilient, Baker saw a 30-yarder turned around the upright before finding a telling pass for Marrow to dive through a pack of players to head home the equaliser.

They pressured for a lead with Callan going close twice before Lucas missed an absolute sitter on half-time.

The break worked wonders for Barwell who came out firing on all cylinders and Lucas made up for his error, finishing a one-on-one with keeper Taylor on 53 minutes.

On the hour mark it was 3-1 as Puttnam punished the Vics defence and buried his chance.

It was game, set and match on 75 minutes as substitute Tanner steered in a left-sided corner.

There's a massive game to stop the rot, tomorrow. Wednesfield arrive bottom of the table with just 3 points bagged all season so Vics need to send them packing without adding to that.
