A SCHOOL has proved it certainly means business as it moves into a new industry-friendly era.
Supporters of Birchwood High's bid to become Warrington's first business and technology college were on hand to see Warrington North MP Helen Jones at an official launch last week.
As part of the application process the school was required to raise £50,000 and was backed by Birchwood Shopping Centre, HSBC Education Trust and Birchwood Park Estates.
Each will provide help, ranging from advice for business studies classes to help with Young Enterprise projects.
MP Mrs Jones said: "Links between the school and companies such as these will give pupils superb opportunities to see the business world first hand."
