Live at St Wilfrid's! at Grappenhall presents The Ovid Ensemble later this month.
TheOvid Ensemble was formed in 1995 by drawing together outstanding musicians from all over the country. The versatile combination of instruments enables this now well established chamber group to explore a rich and varied repertoire.
St Wilfrid's has chosen a programme of pieces by Bach, Woolrich, Beethoven and Mozart played on violin, viola, cello and oboe.
The ensemble has won a variety of awards and has broadcast on Radio 3. A favourite with Music Clubs and Festivals, it has performed and become ensemble-in-residence at the Presteigne, Ryedale and Martel (France) Festivals.
They arrive in Warrington next Thursday, October 24.
