SAINTS' outstanding Paul Sculthorpe will go into Saturday's Grand Final cauldron having retained his Man of Steel title.
Sculthorpe became the first player to be crowned Man of Steel two years running when he walked away from a Manchester ceremony with the title on Tuesday.
A panel of broadcasters and journalists voted on the player to have made the biggest impact on the game during 2002 and super Scully's name came up again and again for the coveted title and the £5,000 cheque.
He finished runner-up to Wigan scrum half Adrian Lam in the players' player of the year voting.
Saints will be holding a homecoming regardless of whether they win or lose the Grand Final.
The homecoming will take place on Sunday at Knowsley Road. The turnstiles will open at 12.30pm. Entry to the homecoming will be free.
